Now that her lips are in shape, Hailey Bieber is adding some more more structure to her famous brunette locks.
On February 1, the 28-year-old and her husband, the Biebs himself, took a stroll in the cool New York City night. Naturally, while out and about their presence was recognized and the cameras snapped away. Every Bieber family street style photo is something to behold, this one was special. Mostly because—sandwiched between two days of smooth blowouts—the Rhode founder decided to wear her hair in bouncy curls.

Because we often see the model with her her straight or in undone waves (or, perhaps most importantly, in a slicked-back bun), the enormity of the situation was immediately evident. Those are curls! Curly curls. And next to being so bouncy, they really don’t look brushed out. Instead, each piece is its own separate, tendril-y entity.
Truly, Bieber’s hair looks like a stylist just took a hot tool to it. (After giving her a gloss, because that shine is outstanding.)

It’s not that it looks strange, per se—anyone could walk around with this ‘do and no one would give it a second thought. But because Bieber is known for her cool-girl, easy-does-it looks, it’s notable to see her in a hairstyle that doesn’t look like her diamond-bedecked fingers have casually run through it a couple of times. Whatever hairspray she has (rumor has it she’s a fan of Kevin Murphy’s Bedroom Hair) is doing its job.

Another way to tell a Hailey Bieber hairstyle is major? It took us this long to even mention her manicure. Climbing on a bus behind her husband, the former ballerina could be seen clutching her signature Rhode Lip Case with a set of baby pink, almond-shaped fingernails.

Which, by the way, she premiered both that case and her chocolate brown hair around the Super Bowl last year. Could something be awaiting us this Sunday? Even if it’s just some curly haired mirror pics, we’ll be pleased.
